Great addition to the collection, with Arden's excellent dramaturgical notes. Love's Labour's Lost is the story of 4 lords who swear off everything in favor of study, and immediately try to work around their pledge to woo the ladies they love. There is a host of other characters, with laughter & pageantry, and the play doesn't leave out the reality of life and responsibilities, too. Reading with Arden's notes should give even the experienced Shakespeare reader new things to consider around interpretation, the world of Shakespeare's time, and how Love's Labour's Lost remains pertinent to modern audiences.
